Nathanael Reed

If we might know, within our days,
What lies beyond and just behold,
A fleeting touch of what’s to be,
Such wistful thoughts as we grow old.
If we could taste the yesterdays,
And savour still from mem’ry’s store,
And call to mind with clarity,
Those we’ve loved, who’ve gone before.
And feel the sun upon our face,
When we embark for Heaven’s shore,
And sense again the Hand of grace,
And be with Him forevermore.
